Prior to joining the firm, Rich worked with a large, nationally recognized commercial risk management and employee benefits firm. In this capacity, he worked closely with his clientele to help them assess their risk tolerance and liability and efficiently manage their employee related benefit packages. He also worked closely with key employees to design customized executive benefit solutions that would complement his clientele in the areas of attraction, rewarding and retaining the key executives.

A proud Wildcat, Rich graduated in 1993 from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing. He furthered his education by obtaining his FINRA Series 66 securities registration. He is also a licensed insurance agent in several states.

In his spare time, Rich, a former touring professional golfer, can often be found on the golf course. Using his vast experience as a professional athlete, he and his spouse Kristi have helped student athletes on their journey to college golf. In addition to being involved in sports, Rich is a man of faith, which plays a major role in his life. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with Kristi as well as his two sons, Austin and Jake. Both have started their own families and have given Rich three grandsons, all of whom Rich is extremely proud of.
